Fuyukawa (Japanese: ふゆかわ, meaning Winter River) is a District of Kitsunemori.

Population is about 23,000 residents.

climate/geography

The climate of Fuyukawa is mildly warm on some months but can become very snowy in winter months. Geographically, there are many rivers that start and run through the district, the most famous being the Yuki River. The district got its name from the cold and abundance of rivers.

Government

Fuyukawa District Council is the general governmental body of Fuyukawa, being a unicameral legislative body with similar roles of the Legislature of Kitsunemori, though to a local extent.

Fuyukawa has 23 Assembly districts to send Assemblymembers [1] to the Assembly, and 6 Council districts to send Councilmembers to the Council.
